Hello! I’m Anna
I created Anchored Support to offer the kind of calm, practical support that so many people wish existed before things reach breaking point. A lot of the people I work with are capable, caring people who are carrying far too much on their own - whether that’s work, study, life admin, burnout, neurodivergence, hormonal changes, overwhelm, or simply the constant mental load of everyday life.
My approach is collaborative, flexible, and shaped around the individual. I’m not here to judge, push, or tell people how to live their lives. Support is about creating enough calm, structure, and breathing space for things to start feeling more manageable again. Sometimes that means practical admin support. Sometimes it means body doubling, accountability, shared problem-solving, or simply having another calm person alongside you while you work things through.
A small fun fact ⚓
Anchored Support is also a bit of a play on my name: Anna Kerr → anchor. But the name also reflects what I want support to feel like: grounded, steady, calm, and supportive during periods of overwhelm, uncertainty, or when life simply feels like too much to carry alone.
(Also, because this is the About page and there are actual photos of me here, it feels important to mention that I really hate having my photo taken… so these genuinely are the best ones available.)
One more thing, the images used throughout the page headers are all photos I’ve taken myself. Taking photos has become one of the ways I try to get out of my head a little when life feels overwhelming - slowing down enough to notice quieter moments and small details I might otherwise miss.
My background
I have over 11 years of experience supporting students through Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) funded support and working alongside apprentices and people in the workplace. Over the years, I’ve supported people navigating overwhelm, executive functioning difficulties, study pressures, organisation challenges, confidence struggles, and the constant balancing act of everyday responsibilities.
I also understand personally how different brains, energy levels, processing styles, and life experiences can shape the way people move through the world - including within neurodivergent families and during periods of hormonal change and perimenopause, when brain fog, fluctuating energy, overwhelm, and reduced capacity can start affecting everyday life.
Alongside this, I genuinely enjoy helping people find systems, tools, apps, and ways of working that feel supportive rather than overwhelming.
What matters to me
I want people to feel:
calmer
less alone
heard and understood
less ashamed of struggling
able to show up as themselves
supported without judgement or pressure
Sometimes the biggest shift is simply realising you don’t have to keep carrying everything on your own.
